What version 3 keeps on your device

The app stores your profile name, chosen direction and intention, optional birth date for the symbolic daily compass, journal entries and moods, journey titles, small steps, outcomes, evidence and reviews, writing-practice records, vision content, preferences and unfinished drafts. These support the features you choose to use.

Selected vision photos are copied into app storage. The app does not upload your photo library. No app account or cloud journal account is required. Device backup settings may separately include app data; those backups are controlled by your device or backup provider.

Purchases and service providers

Apple or Google processes store payments. RevenueCat helps check membership and restore purchases using an app user identifier, transaction and purchase information, and the technical information needed to operate its purchase SDK. Your journal text, journey evidence and photos are not included in the app’s purchase requests. We do not receive your full payment-card details from the app store.

See RevenueCat’s privacy policy, Apple’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy for their processing. These providers may process information in countries other than yours. Purchase records can remain with the store or provider after local app content is erased.

Widgets, reminders and permissions

On supported iOS and Android devices, the optional version 3 home-screen widget receives only a completed-check-in count and whether a step is pending. It does not receive journal text, journey titles, intentions, evidence or photos. These aggregate indicators can be visible to someone viewing your home screen. You can remove the widget using your device’s widget controls.

On supported iOS devices, a Live Activity can show the current practice period and the number of repetitions completed and the target count on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. It does not receive the words of your intention or journal. Other people who can view those system surfaces may see the practice indicators. You can dismiss the activity or manage Live Activities in device settings.

Optional reminders use local notification permission and your chosen schedule. You can turn them off in the app or device settings. The photo picker lets you choose an image; the app does not require access to unrelated library content.

Export, deletion and retention

Local content remains until you remove it or clear the app’s storage. In Your space, choose to export your saved writing, metadata and supported vision photos together as a portable JSON backup or use Erase my space to remove version 3 content, including journeys, drafts and copied vision photos. If version 3 cannot open its saved data, recovery can preserve the original raw data locally before a validated backup is restored or a new space is created. Settings can export the latest preserved new-space recovery copy. Full Erase my space also removes these version 3 recovery archives. These are different from the original iOS recovery files described below. Portable backups you choose to export embed supported saved photos for transfer between devices. Export stops if a photo cannot be included; it does not silently omit that photo. Original recovery copies preserve the exact original raw data and may contain only device-local photo references. Those references require the original files on the same device. Exporting does not automatically upload your journal or photos to us; you choose where to save or share the file. Backups can contain private writing and photos, so keep them private. Copies you export to another location remain under your control.

If you choose to import original vision boards, version 3 keeps separate local copies of the original image bytes, available previews and layout details, alongside supported editable copies. Original image files may contain embedded information, such as capture details or location tags, if that information was already present. Preserving or exporting an exact original also preserves that embedded information. Deleting an editable vision board does not delete its separately preserved original recovery files. Those version 3 recovery files remain until you use Erase my space or remove the app’s stored data. Temporary extraction copies are removed after processing or during later cleanup. Original files linked to your current space are included in its portable backup when they fit the supported size limits; export stops rather than skipping a required file. Older recovery archives retained on this device after a later restore are separate from the current-space backup. Full Erase my space removes these version 3 copies and temporary extraction files, but not the original iOS files from the earlier app. Importing does not upload these files.

Original iOS recovery files preserved for migration are separate from version 3 content. Erase my space does not delete those recovery files or cancel store subscriptions. Removing the app or clearing browser data may remove local content. The app does not offer a server copy of your journal that support can restore.

Support correspondence is used to respond to your request and retained as needed to resolve it and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Please send only the information necessary for support; a journal entry is not required to ask a question.

Earlier ManifestAI versions

Earlier iOS versions include Gemini-powered features. When you use journal elevation, the text being elevated is sent to Google Gemini to generate a response. Personalized daily readings can send your profile name, calculated personal-day number, date and language instructions. Other generated prompts may also make network requests. This differs from the non-AI version 3 experience.

Google’s processing and retention depend on the service and applicable terms. We do not promise that earlier requests were never retained or used for service improvement. See Google’s Gemini API terms and privacy policy. Do not use an earlier AI feature for information you do not want sent to that provider. Updating does not undo a request already sent.

Earlier versions also include Firebase Analytics and Firebase Cloud Messaging where configured. Those services can process usage events and device or messaging identifiers for analytics and remote notifications. See Firebase privacy information. The version 3 app does not include these legacy Firebase integrations. Earlier widgets and Live Activities can show different app content from version 3. Review or remove those widgets in your device settings if you do not want their contents visible. Existing store purchases continue to use the store and RevenueCat; importing old writing into version 3 is a local recovery operation.

This website is separate from your journal

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics for page visits and referrers. Vercel describes this analytics product as cookieless; it reports information such as visited pages and device/browser characteristics. Hosting services also process requests to deliver and secure the site. Read Vercel’s analytics privacy information.

Some website pages load fonts or other resources from third-party hosts, which receive the network request needed to deliver them. App Store links may contain a campaign tag identifying the link location. These website activities are separate from the version 3 app, which does not send journal content to website analytics or include journal-content analytics.

Your choices and privacy requests

We do not sell your journal content or share it with advertisers. You can read and export your local writing without membership, change supported profile information, delete individual supported items or erase your version 3 space. Privacy controls are not a paid feature.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of information we hold, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a competent privacy authority. Contact info@ai-manifest.com to make a request. We may need information to verify and handle it; we cannot retrieve journal content that exists only on your device.

We use purchase information to provide the membership you request, correspondence to answer your requests, and website technical information to operate and understand the site. Where a legal basis is required, this can include providing the requested service, legitimate operational interests, consent where applicable, or legal obligations. No optional permission is needed simply to read your saved writing.

If you are a parent or guardian concerned about information a child has provided, contact us. This policy does not treat a store content-age rating as consent to personal-data processing.
